Hi, I’m April.

I’m a clinical regulatory affairs professional specializing in orphan drugs, rare diseases, and enzyme replacement therapies. I have a diverse background in research, academia, and industry through various work and volunteer experiences.

I began my career working in a neuroimaging lab where I was able to hone in on my analytical, critical thinking, and writing skills. Seeking to be more involved in drug development, I transitioned into regulatory affairs, where I have worked on various products from the pre-IND to commercial stages.

Because of my experience over the past decade, my greatest assets are my effective communication in cross functional teams; my ability to synthesize complex information into something more comprehensible; and my flexibility and adaptability to change in a fast pace environment. I have a competitive spirit which drives me to successfully manage projects on tight deadlines, and my inquisitive nature drives my thirst to learn things quickly.

In my spare time, I enjoy giving back to my community by mentoring young women in the sciences. I am also passionate about serving underrepresented communities, and I have developed valuable entrepreneurial, leadership, and project management skills through my role as a Branch Director for MERCYWORLDWIDE.
